There are eight Republican Senators running for re-election in 2020 who have **NO DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER.** Democrats need to compete hard and compete everywhere. Depriving voters of a Democratic option is not acceptable.

  1. **No bigotry, brigading, trolling, advocating violence or being a dick to other people here.** It’ll get you banned. See the sidebar for the full version of the rules.

Please report rule-breaking comments to the special investigators.

  2. Oh, wow. I would love to be able to retire and move to Nebraska or South Dakota and run as an Independent or Democrat.

Maybe there are some good state native residents who can be convinced to run.

We need to start a billboard campaign to encourage long time residents or native residents to run for Senate.

  3. Hey all… just so you know the filing deadline(s) are different for each state but most are not until at the very earliest December 2019 or January 2020 (with some states as late as summer 2020). So… while this looks terrible right now, the “race” really hasn’t started yet so it isn’t uncommon to see stuff like this at this stage in the cycle.

But the sentiment that OP indicates is a good one… every seat in all elections (even state legislature positions) should always have candidates from both parties to offer choice to the voters.
